This answer could be thought of as too generic for some and I apologise for that, there are obviously more concerns as well, but none is too great at the moment for our civilization. But if we have to last for centuries, we must think about all these and more to ensure consistency of our past, present and future.

Ignoring the reasons that are leading right now to disintegration and decline of major civilizations

Let's not become an example for that, let's empower our democracy to become the best form of government, rather than just expecting it to be.
